General Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a CAD Apprentice. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience and training in the field of computer-aided design

Main Duties

What will the apprentice be doing?

Conduct detailed analysis of design requirements, specifications, and project objectives to develop innovative mechanical design solutions.
Utilise CAD software and other design tools to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct material selection and evaluation, considering factors such as mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, weight optimisation, and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, engineering drawings, and technical reports, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records throughout the design and development process.
Commit to learning fast and learning by doing, through the use of prototypes, simulation and other testing and validation.
Learn the technical documentation such as quality documentations, certifications, quality assurance, non-compliance reporting, customer specifications and project management requirements for D3-UK.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

All training will be delivered in the workplace
