TDR will develop bespoke programmes to suit specific training requirements. We have an excellent knowledge base and understanding across many sectors including Engineering, Science and Manufacturing.
We would be delighted to visit your premises to discuss any training needs. Our Skills Development Programmes can be delivered at TDR Training or we can deliver at your premises.
AutoCAD is vital for anyone involved in the design and drafting based industries, including manufacturing, engineering, graphic design, architecture and many more. Whether you want to improve your current skill set or are looking to start your career, this is your ultimate introductory guide.
During this course you will learn the basic understanding of electrical safety and associated principles, hand tools, practical exercises and testing procedures.
Turning is a material removal process which is used to manufacture components. The turning process requires a lathe, workpiece, workholding, tool holding and cutting tools. The material is held in the workholding; either a chuck, mandrel or other fixture, and the cutting tools are set along with appropriate speeds (RPM) and feeds.
Manual metal arc welding (MMA or MMAW), also known as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), flux shielded arc welding or stick welding, is a process where the arc is struck between an electrode flux coated metal rod and the work piece. Both the rod and the surface of the work piece melt to create a weld. It is a versatile process that can be used on a variety of materials and material thicknesses.
During the 5-day course, students will learn the fundamentals of Mechanical systems and fault finding. Starting with general health & safety on tooling and equipment and the necessity of using the correct equipment. You will learn about connection methods of pipe & hose fittings, basic systems that include, bearings, chains and belts.
Metal Active Gas (MAG) welding is a process that uses heat created from a DC electric arc between a consumable metal electrode and a workpiece which melt together to create a weld pool that fuses to form a join. Active gas mixtures have been developed primarily for welding steels. Typical shielding gases are mixtures of argon, carbon dioxide and oxygen.
Oxy Fuel Cutting is a thermal cutting process that uses oxygen and fuel gas (such as acetylene, propane, propylene and natural gas) to cut through materials.
‘Right first time’ production is vital in process manufacturing settings. To create materials which meet your customer’s expectations first time, every time, reduces waste, costs, time and improves customer satisfaction.
The 18th Edition course is run over 3.5 days and aimed at anyone involved in the design, engineering, inspection and testing of electrical systems, also a nationally recognised “must-have” qualification for companies seeking to recruit electricians.
In the Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG) welding process the arc is formed between a tungsten electrode and the workpiece in an inert atmosphere of argon or helium. The small intense arc provided by the electrode is ideal for high quality and precision welding. When filler metal is required, it must be added separately to the weld pool.
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is the only assessor qualification that allows you to practise as a fully qualified assessor. This is a modern, recognised Level 3 assessing vocational achievement certification that came to replace the previous A1\2 and D32\33 assessor qualification.
This course will give you an understanding of why isolations are carried out and how to carry them out safely and correctly.
The Introduction to Fluid Power Systems (Pneumatics & Hydraulics) course provides a comprehensive introduction to fluid power systems, covering both pneumatics and hydraulics. It is ideal for engineers, technicians, and maintenance professionals seeking to understand, design, and troubleshoot fluid power circuits safely and effectively.
