We have an exciting new opportunity and looking for an enthusiastic Design Engineer who is passionate about inspiring the next generation of Engineers! If you have experience in Engineering, highly qualified to a minimum of HNC and are motivated to take on the challenge it would be great to hear from you!

 

About the role

This role would suit someone from an engineering design background, who is looking for a varied and new career that allows you to support and mentor apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSB’s) in line with Apprenticeship Standards.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To manage a caseload of learners from the start of their programme until successful completion.
  • To provide support & assistance to learners.
  • To visit learners monthly in the workplace.
  • To carry out 12-week progress reviews.
  • To carry out annual Health & Safety Assessments of learner worksites.
  • To manage the induction process of new starts and complete relevant apprenticeship sign up documentation.
  • To work with employers to ensure learners are receiving the correct exposure to meet the Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours (KSB’s) of the associated apprenticeship standards.
  • To carry out learner End Point Assessment (EPA) preparation.
  • To carry out onsite assessments with learners to deem occupational competence.
  • To assist in the recruitment of learners via carrying out candidate interviews.
  • To promote TDR Training – Apprenticeships & Commercial training.

 

About the person

We are looking for someone who can bring not just up to date industry knowledge and experience, but who can impart life skills and teach our learners to be effective and invaluable members of their workforce. Have excellent organisational skills, be flexible and self-motivated with a passion for learner achievement and quality. If you hold an assessing qualification great, but don’t worry we can work with you to gain the qualification and more!

Desired Qualities:

  • Understanding of Apprenticeship Standards.
  • Assessors Award (or willing to work towards).
  • Health and Safety accreditation.
  • Project Management skills.
