General Description

Ensure plant and machinery across the site are available and reliable by proactively seeking to reduce plant downtime. The apprentice will support the engineering team with various maintenance procedures including routine and non-routine maintenance

Main Duties

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • They will support the engineering team with various maintenance procedures including routine and non-routine maintenance
  • Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on regular intervals.
  • Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault diagnosis.
  • Demonstrate an ability to learn and be practically capable in electrical & mechanical maintenance engineering.
  • Carrying out machine improvements / modifications.
  • Carry out minor machine installations.
  • Working in a safe manner adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Contributing to reducing machinery downtime through maintaining equipment and improving efficiencies.
  • Getting broad exposure to pharmaceutical safety requirements.

This standard will meet the professional standards of the Engineering Council for registration as an Engineering Technician (Eng Tech) by an appropriate Professional Engineering Institution.
