Group Team leader Training
Group Team Leader Training
Course Overview
Our Team Leader Training is designed to provide supervisors and team leaders with the practical skills, knowledge and confidence required to manage people effectively within a busy manufacturing environment.
Training can be delivered either at TDR Training or on the employer’s premises, providing flexibility around operational requirements. Delivery can be structured as full-time training over 2–3 consecutive days, or as day release spread across 2–3 weeks, depending on what works best for the business.
The programme can be tailored to the specific challenges faced by your team leaders and will cover key areas including:
- Managing performance
- Challenging and managing difficult conversations
- Effective note taking
- Understanding and applying company policies
- Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
- Managing conflict
- Improving communication
We can also introduce the principles of Lean and Kaizen, as well as Health & Safety, within the Team Leader programme. However, to ensure these subjects are covered properly and provide genuine value, we recommend delivering them as separate development programmes.
For Health & Safety, we would recommend IOSH Managing Safely, giving team leaders a recognised qualification and a strong understanding of their responsibilities within the workplace.
We would therefore recommend a three-part development programme:
- Team Leader Training
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Lean/Kaizen Training
This provides a structured development pathway for each team leader.
What you'll achieve
TDR Certificate of competence will be awarded upon completion of the training course.
