We are excited to announce the launch of the new TDR Alumni Network on LinkedIn.
Our apprentices are at the heart of what we do, and we know that completing an apprenticeship is just the beginning of a long and successful career. We wanted to create a way for our former apprentices to stay connected with TDR, keep up to date with what is happening and remain part of our growing community.
As a charity, TDR exists to develop skills and inspire people across the North East. Established in the 1990s, we continue a proud training tradition rooted in the region’s engineering and shipbuilding heritage. Through our Alumni Network, former apprentices can help support this purpose by sharing experiences, inspiring future learners and staying connected to the TDR community.
Staying Connected Beyond Your Apprenticeship
The TDR Alumni Network gives former apprentices a dedicated space to showcase their career progression, stay connected with us and connect with other people who have completed their training with TDR.
As part of the launch, we have also created a dedicated TDR Alumni LinkedIn Group. The group will be used to share news, updates, opportunities and stories from TDR, while also giving our alumni community the opportunity to share their own experiences, achievements and career journeys.
Join the TDR Alumni Network
Joining the TDR Alumni Network is simple. To join, you must have TDR Training and Apprenticeships listed under the Education section of your LinkedIn profile. Whether you have completed an apprenticeship or another training programme with us, we would love to have you on board.
Once TDR Training and Apprenticeships has been added to your Education section, you will be able to access the Alumni section on our LinkedIn page. From there, you can find the link to join the TDR Alumni Group on our ‘Featured’ posts. Once your request has been accepted, you will be able to access and contribute to group posts.
Adding TDR to your LinkedIn profile not only shows your connection to us, but also helps us grow our alumni community, strengthen our charitable impact and inspire the next generation of apprentices and learners across the North East.

We are proud of the apprentices and learners who have completed their training with us and excited to see where their careers take them.
The launch of our Alumni Network gives us a way to continue those relationships and celebrate the achievements of our former apprentices and learners long after they have completed their training.
