School Initiatives
Engineering and manufacturing offer tremendous career opportunities for young people.
The North East is one of the foremost engineering and manufacturing regions in the UK. However, the age profile of the workforce in these key industries is skewed towards older employees.
The region urgently needs new blood across all disciplines to ensure it can compete in world markets and create prosperity for the future.
TDR manages a number of initiatives which link schools with engineering companies, enabling young people to see firsthand the number of career paths open to them when they leave full-time education.
